The Rockvale Project is located in the New England Orogen of NSW, covering 358 km², near other significant mineral projects such as Hillgrove, Spartan West, and New England Antimony.
The project area is underlain by Rockvale and Hillgrove Monzogranites, which intrude Coffs Harbour Association siltstones, hosting mineralisation at the Hillgrove Project.
Historical exploration has identified numerous antimony and gold prospects, with high-grade gold and antimony reported.
Girrakool Prospect has semi-massive stibnite in quartz veins with assays up to 18.2% Sb and 590g/t Ag, with historical workings up to 90m deep.
Achill Prospect, located 12.5 km northeast of Hillgrove, has assays up to 4.65% Sb and 265g/t Ag, but no modern exploration has been conducted.
Thorpleigh Prospect features quartz-stibnite veins with assays up to 1.25% Sb and 1.57g/t Au, with historical workings up to 18m deep.
Taits Gully Prospect shows gold mineralisation in a shear zone over 800m long, with assays up to 76g/t Au and 318g/t Ag; prior drilling by Freeport Australia in the 1980s gave no significant results, but antimony mineralisation is present.
Union Jack Prospect has underground workings and shallow pits to 17m depth, with assays up to 3.7g/t Au, 0.23% Sb and 1640 g/t Ag in quartz veins within altered granite.
Little Nell Mine/Great Britain Mine Area has old workings and shafts to 122m depth, with assays up to 33.5g/t Au, mineralisation occurring in an east-west trending quartz vein.
